Candino é uma marca do Grupo Festina. Foi fundada originalmente em 1947 por Adolf Flury-Hug na cidade suiça de Herbetswil e incorporada no grupo espanhol em 2002.
A marca apresenta relógios muito interessantes – para o meu gosto – sobretudo na área dos modelos mais clássicos, de que é exemplo este C4485/1.
Trata-se de um dos elementos da Classic Line da marca e este modelo em particular está disponível em mais cinco execuções num total de seis variações de cor de mostrador, da caixa e da bracelete.
O desenho é bastante original, com indicação da data em grandes numerais (num mostrador de dupla janela) no posição da 1H00, dia da semana através de ponteiro retrógado e ponteiro de segundos num mostrador secundário às 6H00.
O resultado é um elegante dress watch de dimensões razoáveis (41mm) numa caixa de aço cujo mostrador é protegido por vidro de safira.
O movimento é de quartzo e, presume-se, de origem suíça (o mostrador indica "Swiss Made"), embora o fabricante não revele qual o calibre. O preço ronda os 340 euros.

The exhibit, entitled “Brilliant, Cartier in the 20th Century,” began this past weekend at the Denver Art Museum and will remain in place until March 15, 2015.

It is a one of the most comprehensive exhibits to come to America and is solely at this venue. The exhibit displays 250 dazzling Cartier jewels, watches, clocks, objects of art, desk and writing accessories and other items all created between 1900 and 1975.

Surrounding the watches, jewelry and other items are drawings, sketches, historic photos and other types of materials of the times — all setting the cultural stage for the Cartier pieces and the era during which they were made. From the aristocracy of the Russian Tsars to the Art Deco and Roaring Twenties eras, Cartier made its indelible mark in history – dressing the world’s most preeminent socialites, financiers, celebrities and more.

The exhibition is created in segments that include a focus on men’s items, such as wristwatches, pocket items and more. There are even pieces on display that were worn by some of the brand’s most famed clients: Daisy Fellowes, Wallis Warfield Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor, Princess Grace of Monaco, Barbara Hutton, Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Mexican film star María Félix.

Das Gehäuse ist anders als die Mehrzahl der rotierenden Scheiben, die ich habe, mit einem abgerundeten Gehäuse, das etwas höher als breit ist. Es hat einen passenden Metallriemen mit dem ersten, der direkt in einen Vorsprung vom Gehäuse anschließt (so wird es schwierig sein, einen Ersatz zu finden).

Auf der Vorderseite der Uhr befindet sich kein Text. Die einzige Information ist also der Deep-Name und die Modellnummer 8170 NW (oder 8170NW). Wie ich schon oft erwähnte, scheint es eine Verbindung zwischen vielen japanischen Modemarken mit dem gleichen Design zu geben, das von verschiedenen Herstellern auftaucht. Das letzte Mal, dass ich eine Deep-Uhr mit diesem Zahlenformat (5766 NW) gebloggt habe, war es das gleiche Design wie eine Deadman-Uhr mit einer ähnlichen Nummer (GV5766), so dass ich mich frage, ob es auch einen ähnlichen Deadman GV8170 gibt.
